MOISSANITE VS DIAMOND

The internal structure, numerical value and appearance of moissanite are surprisingly similar to diamonds. Even if it is detected with a diamond tester pen, it will also be judged as diamonds, which is difficult to distinguish. However, moissanite can shine brighter than diamond, and the fire color is more amazing. At the same time, the price is only 1/10 of that of diamond.
The fire color of morsonite can appear so beautiful because of its physical, chemical and optical properties. This gem has a very high refractive index of 2.65-2.69 (2.42 for diamonds), dispersion index of 0.104 (0.044 for diamonds) and gloss index of 20.4 (17.2% for diamonds).
At the same time, morsonite has a Mohs hardness of 9.25, only 10 lower than diamond, which is higher than other gemstones. The high hardness makes it not suitable for scraping and cracking, and can be preserved forever.
